Lokomotiv Moscow – Bayern Munich

European kings Bayern Munich will travel to Russia to face Lokomotiv Moscow in a match from Group A of the Champions League.

Bayern Munich already started their participation in the competition with a win. The Bavarian giants hosted Atletico Madrid at the Allianz Arena and crushed the Spaniards with a terrific 4-0 win. The French international Kingsley Coman shined with two goals and an assist for the win. Leon Goretzka and Corentin Tolisso scored for the German club as well.

On Saturday Bayern Munich recorded their 6th consecutive win in all competitions. Hansi Flick’s team hosted Eintracht Frankfurt at home and scored another big win – 5-0. Robert Lewandowski scored a hattrick and reminded us how good he is. Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala scored for the champions as well. Musiala is just 17-years old, but this was his second goal in the Bundesliga.

It’s just scary to watch Bayern Munich playing at the moment. Last season they won the treble and now they look ready for another one. The manager Hansi Flick built a real machine since he was appointed as a head coach.

Lokomotiv Moscow started their Champions League campaign with a draw. The Russian team faced Salzburg at the Red Bull Arena and won a point after a 2-2 draw. Eder and Vitali Lisakovich scored for Marko Nikolic’ team. It was a good result for Lokomotiv as Salzburg are usually strong at home and they dominate Austrian football.

That’s our preview for the Champions League fixture between Lokomotiv Moscow and Bayern Munich at the RZD Arena in the Russian capital. Bayern Munich are so good right now it’s only normal to regard them favourites against any opponent they face. It’s usually difficult to play on Russian soil, but it’s clear Lokomotiv Moscow are the complete underdogs here.
