Manchester City – Burnley
We are heading to the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City will face Burnley in a match from the 10th round of the Premier League. Let’s take a look at it.
Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola warned his players – they must start winning more games. Right now the Cityzens are 13th in the standings with 12 points and they are 8 points behind the leaders Tottenham Hotspur. This is not acceptable for a club which is always fighting for the gold medals. City won just two of their last five matches in the Premier League and this is not the consistency Guardiola wants to see from his players.
A week ago Manchester City suffered their second defeat for the season when they paid a visit to Tottenham in London. The Catalan manager played Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden from the bench and it didn’t turn out to be a good decision. Sergio Aguero on the other hand remained on the bench and didn’t play at all.
During the week Manchester City achieved another win in the Champions League, though. The Cityzens traveled to Greece and secured a 1-0 win over Olympiakos. It was Phil Foden who scored the winning goal.
Burnley approach the 10th round of the Premier League from 17th place in the table. It seems that it’s going to be another tough season for Sean Dyche’s team. Burnley are just one point ahead of the 18th Fulham and the relegation zone. This is not an easy moment for them.
In their last game Burnley achieved their first win for the season, though. Burnley hosted Crystal Palace at the Turf Moor and secured a 1-0 win. Chris Wood scored the winning goal for the hosts.
That’s our preview for the Premier League game between Manchester City and Burnley at the Etihad in Manchester. If everything goes normal this should be another win for the Cityzens. Let’s see.
